   In 1990, the dZi was incorporated and began by working with Tibetan refugee artisans in Dharamshala, India. They organized training workshops and  first product lines… clothing and accessories, wind chimes and traditional items such as prayer flags and incense. 

Dedicated to enhancing the lives of Himalayan artisans and their communities through the development and marketing of their craft traditions.

Dzi's  beautiful handwoven dream catchers and wall hangings are constructed with a locally sourced cane, sustainably harvested woollen yarns, natural cotton and webbed with a long-lasting wax covered thread. Some styles are further decorated with beautiful stones, beads, seeds and a genuine lead crystal prism. Handmade in Nepal at a woman-owned production center.

Women of the Cloud Forest recycled aluminum artwork. Women of the Cloud Forest has been working in fair trade since 2001. They  have direct, long-term relationships with small family workshops and cooperatives in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Peru. In addition to placing consistent orders with artisan partners, they provide business training and product development/design and we offer no-interest micro-loans and direct grants for workshop capacity building. This holistic approach to business enables their artisan partners to grow their businesses and access new markets without creating cycles of dependency.
